I use locally sourced solid hardwoods from a local lumber yard here in Northern Idaho. All our trays are milled to size, CNC carved, sanded smooth, and finished with a penetrating oil-based finish that soaks deep into hardwoods, pulling natural wood colors and tones and locking them in permanently.
